I have received several PMs expressing how they object your controlling the thread. (These PMs can be authenticated by a third party if you wish.)
You keep attacking ed. I am not here to defend ed. He does not need anybody for that. Many on this thread object to your onesided bias. Personal vendetta? You denied that, yet your postings just show that is the case.
You have compared your to Voltaire, Uncle Frank and Greg Mullineux. Jill, I have news for you: you are no Voltaire, no Uncle Frank, and definitely no Greg. Those three respected posters do admit when they make mistakes, and they never acted as if they are above other posters. Have you ever admitted of making mistakes? And ever apologized? Show me the link.
TELL THE THREAD WHAT YOUR QUALIFICATIONS ARE TO MANAGE A VERY DIFFICULT THREAD LIKE THIS . A year of experience maybe? And with financial problems that you turn to others for help? And you are telling others what moves you made? And you are guiding newbies as if you know it all by playing judge and jury? There are newbies who have more experience than you and yet they still feel the need to learn from others.
Your post # 7366 indicated that you had problem during the melt down, so that you had contacted ed, and finally had to have Voltaire spent hours to entangle your situation. Now you are giving advice to newbies about one or two profitable trades. Should you not drive the school bus if you just earned a learner's permit? If your lack of understanding of option got you in trouble, why portray as someone who is the expert by your controlling the thread, even comparing yourself to those respected posters. Granted that option is a complex subject.
Tell us: can you define what OTM is in 6 words or less without using the word "call" or "put"?
If option is beyond your capacity to comprehend, maybe mutual fund is better suited for you. And there is nothing wrong to own mutual funds. And maybe you should contact a CFA for help?
Your need to chime in on every post indicates your obsession of control, yet, it drives people away. A thread can prosper long after the founders leave. Just watch Dell's thread, where is grogger, or Qualcomm thread, where is Craig Schilling. Yet they have many respected posters without the thread founder's presence or interference.
Ed mentioned that the problem is Jill and Poet. I STRONGLY DISAGREE. The problem is just Jill.
One can still reason with Poet.
A person PMed me stating that in PM exchange, a flippant response was that was received from Jill, but that was not the case from Poet whom that person enjoys as a person.
You have on several occasions indicated who is welcome or who is not on this thread. Many of us will not miss you should you decide to leave. Probably to start a mutual fund thread which will suit you very well.
All in all, we thank you and Poet for starting this thread. But Jill don't expect to be treated as the queen of the land. we are all equal.
