There are a million schmucks out there writing newsletters and trying to sell their services to institutions. The interesting thing about it is that your firm chooses to pay for the bogus stuff. If youre not paying for the research, then it also shows you the value. If I fax your institution a rumor, does it qualify as institutional research? What are your qualifications for institutional research? Anything that comes into an institution?
