Frank, I think investors were disappointed with the LACK of substance, not the poor presentation.

You suggest the "substance" of IDC is visible on the financial statements under the components of royalties and special engineering. I think it would be dangerous to afford too much weight to this line. Yes, they are combined under a single line on the financial statements. One would think that royalties would be reported separately from special engineering which more akin to contract labor than royalties. One is a service, the other is a licensing of technology.

It is reasonable to assume that management is trying to obscure the true source of their income. I have never seen another corporation lump royalties with income derived from services.

Fortunately there is a real shortage of skilled engineers so engineering services are in high demand and this allows the perception to continue that IDC is a good royalty play but how long can this continue?
