I'm not at home right now but checked in from my consulting gig.
I want the thread back on topic. That's why she and I posted our trades this a.m. If there are more attacks by any thread member, personal insults, etc, I will ask that member to stop insulting, or leave for awhile. As we said in the header, we asked "that conversation remain respectful of the many differing views and styles of options trading."
I don't like ed's characterizations of Poet yesterday--she's a very good trader, who happens to have published a meta-analysis in her field that has been cited around the world, she's the first author, it is still referred to this day by her pre-married name, and I found that on my own through my research as a journalist, pure coincidence that my good SI friend turns out to be someone I interview for my work--I don't like seeing this person namecalled a suburban Martha Stewart housewife. It reflects badly on the person namecalling, however, not Poet. I won't even bother to defend myself, as I keep my career fairly private. I feel that people who are confident in their points and in their life don't need to resort to insults. I've been impressed the last few days with how Rocketman and LoF in particular have handled themselves. I posted that Kipling poem so that we all might try to adopt that attitude. I see it hasn't worked, at least not yet. I've been appreciative of Seldom Blue and anybody else who has posted on topic: options trading. As long as there is sniping, however, Poet and I will try to stop it. And we won't be silenced. |
