"Swiss imports of Russian palladium soar.

"...Swiss customs officials say that Russian imports are way above average. London metals consultants, CRU monitors Swiss imports closely and estimates that as much as 33 551 kilos of Russian palladium was imported in March, the highest level in 18 months. Imports compare with 642 kilos in February and zero in January. In 1999, Switzerland's gross Russian imports amounted to 76 940 kilos, compared with 56 910 in 1998.

"The statistics confirm our earlier reports that Russian palladium has been readily available and the market has been ramped...."
