OT-BMY fell from 64 to 48 due to its highly touted next blockbuster being delayed. Its pipeline has not had a blockbuster addition in the past ten years, so this fall was somewhat expected in the context of bad news. There are other big pharma companies whose futures do not rely on a single new introduction. But as they say, investing in the market is risky, and as you say, investing in the midst of a bear is very risky.
