David -

Your statement in the preceding post is quite true. There are a lot of people trying to peddle "analysis."

I have received the fax from Joel. It was about 98% legible. Probably more of it would have come out readable if they hadn't underlined four fifths of it. I mean that literally. 80% of the thing is underlined. It is amateurishly written. I would characterize it as "fluff."

I have not checked out the firm from which the fax supposedly emanates, so I can't say anything about them.

However, in my considered opinion, the information contained in this fax isn't worth the curly paper it's written on. This company does indeed allege that Iomega's jaz disk production line is closed due to problems which Iomega can't solve. They state their opinion that the problems are caused by a fundamental design flaw.

I see no evidence that they have the technical expertise to back up their opinions.

The only thing about the fax that is any concern is the mere fact that there are people out there who are really bent on bringing this stock down. Perhaps they just want to pick up shares "cheep."

One thing that's clear about this firm is that their timing isn't the greatest. As of yesterday they were advising their clients to get out of IOM, and today it's up 1 1/2 on heavy volume.

Even though I give little credence to the authors of this document, I calle Iomega IR and left a message asking them to call me abou it. I'll report back after I speak to them.
