George, Hopefully someone out there with some technical knowledge of the two can give us an accurate outline of the weak points and strengths of Etherstorage. But my impression is that if Fibre Channel progresses to 10GB, it would be far superior to ethernet at 10GB, then the question is, will the consumer of the future, demand that extra power from ASPs. If they do, then the ASPs running on Data Centers with Etherstorage, will be unable to compete with ASPs running on Data Centers with Fibre Channel. Maybe there will be two markets, one for Data Centers with low cost storage and one for Data Centers with ASPs that have more processing demands on the data. Maybe a hybrid of Etherstorage and Fiber Channel Storage will exist.

Hopefully someone with more technical expertise will be able to shed more light on this.

Joe
