According to SystemSoft at biz.yahoo.com For the complete P6 family of processors, including the Pentium II processor, SystemSoft supports a new processor microcode update function. During the SystemSoft BIOS software's Power On Self Test (POST), the Pentium II processor has the ability to upload encrypted micocode contained in the BIOS. SystemSoft's support of this function enables quick and easy updates to the Pentium II processor and other P6-based systems.
