The existing KX133 boards may drop in prices dramatically. This will also teach a valuable lesson to the Taiwanese motherboard makers that waited for Via's chipset to enter into the Athlon market, not to depend on Via. I suspect that the main reason for AMD's decision to rely on VIA was due to these Taiwanese motherboard makers - who were perhaps reluctant to support Athlon without Via's chipset.
