Cricket - I suspect our life experiences are quite different. As regards agents breaking down doors - I was a Coast Guard officer involved in random boardings under Republican and Democratic admins. We routinely displayed M-16s, shotguns and occasionally M-60s and 50 calibers when boarding. The point was to display overwhelming force as a method of control. I'm presently semi-retired - have very long hair and ride a harley. I have more than once been handcuffed for no reason other than that I fit a particular profile. Why should you expect federal or local law enforcement to take a personnal risk just to satisfy your notion of what is correct. Agents going into unknown situations react the same whether federal or local, whether democrats or repulicans.
