Larry,

I couldn't even begin to try to discuss or explain the merits of WGAT's and IATV's patents. I have tried to read some of the patent filings but gave up on that real quick.

Hal Krisbergh of WGAT made a comment on CNBC that he would immediately sue anyone who used their proprietary technology/ideas as soon as the first service using its technology was actually deployed. Of course to date, no one else other than WGAT has deployed hyperlinking or thin client technology for internet over TV so he has nothing to sue even if he wanted to.

It would also seem IATV would have initiated suit against WGAT by now if WGAT was guilty of using IATV technology since WGAT has had its service deployed for over a year. (Perhaps in small numbers but still deployed to real paying customers.)

That of course doesn't answer your question of the relative merits of each but it does speak well of WGAT's technology and in my opinion lessens, but does not eliminate, WGAT's exposure to suit.
