[AWRE announcements]
Brice,

<<Do you really think Awre's announcements mean anything substantial?>>

AWRE announcements in isolation, No I don't think that they mean much at all. However, the latest round has been fired by USRX/3COM and these guys are serious. USRX/COms are in a pitched battle over standards(their version of 56K vs Rockwell/Lucent)and are going to continue to push to bring product to market first, and define defacto standards based on a SW upgradeable architecture. This I do take very seriously. So what if Amati has a patent, if they don't have the deep pockets to back them the best they can hope is to collect a little revenue from licensing. I just don't see how Amati is going to be able to compete without a heavy weight to manufacture, integrate and deploy.
