Mark and John Hull,
Excellent question, I would love to know the answer also, "John, Can you confirm or deny this story?".

biz.yahoo.com

SystemSoft implies that the BIOS for the P-6 family is theirs. However, we know that the BIOS for the Pentium II is Phoenix Technology's (PTEC). The statement that you are referring to, Mark, implies to me that Intel will have the capability to remotely, and dynamically, alter the logic of the P-6. If this interpretation is correct, it will give Intel awsome control over the Hardware and Software applications that can be run on Intel systems.

By the way Laptev, both PTEC and SYSF are companies that Intel has equity participation in.
Regards,
Jules
