Congrats on your shorts. Your target price was right on the mark although it was not so hard to figure once the stock dropped below 35. What is your target price to buy in and do you think yesterday's announcements have increased the "fair" market price?

To All:

I was at the PC Expo yesterday.

I spoke with both the Compaq people and the Iomega people. Some of you may like to know the Zip is much stronger than the LS120 in consumer recognition. Most people didn't even know the LS120 existed.

The LS120 was installed only in two minitowers in the Compaq "options" booth. I asked a compaq person a few questions including who owns the technology to the LS120. That guy tried to wiggle out buy saying Compaq does not own the rights in the sense that it does not get royalties when others produce it (there is only one other isn't there and they own the tech to the LS120). Other info I got from the guy was that Compaq shipped minitowers with the LS120 since April but he declined to respond when I asked him to give me some numbers. His last comment, "...the war has only begun."

Zip Booths; There was a presentation about iomega products in a big screen. The jazz was mentioned as the unlimited hard drive. It was the first time I've heard that mentioned through the mouths of IOmega. The general sense when I talked to the iomega people was that they were increasingly confident with their products - Zip becoming the standard and Jazz maybe replacing the hard drive.

Also like to mention that the Apple demonstration booth had external zips (unfortunately not internals) on every computer. And there was that famous logo, "Iomega Ready". Something like intel inside, I would think...the next virtual monopoly? I can only wish at this point.

They'll have the laptop zip on demonstration today at the expo. I'll try to find out something about it and report back.

Keep the Faith
