Following your comments, yeah, I do have some sketchy memory of the "Jewish Bomber," though I won't lie to you: I'm younger than you probably think -

As for Yaqui "The Yak" Lopez, I sure do remember him: Ring Magazine named his fight against Matt Muhammad, where he was KO'ed in the 14th, 1980's fight of the year.

And, I remember Little Red Lopez, too. Red beard, a real rib buster - as you mentioned.

That's why, incidentally, when I (as a major fan) get into the friendly debate about whether the fighters of today are better than the fighters of yesterday, one of my inevitable arguments centers on the incidence of full KO's - from body blows - since 1980.

Did you ever see Louis, Marciano, Moore, Ali, et al. knock a guy unconscious with an uppercut?
