Good news for ASND/CSCC regarding GTE/BBN after the close (on Bloomberg):

Ascend Communications said its sales to BBN and GTE won't suffer as a result of GTE's agreement to work with CSCO as its preferred supplier.
Mory Ejabat told the Bloomberg Forum that both BBN and GTE are big customers for ASND's equipment and they have reassured him that their purchases will continue.

"I have been speaking with them, and they are totally supportive of Ascend products going forward," Ejabat said.

Ejabat said GTE would also continue to buy equipment from Cascade Communications.

Ejabat also said that the company's sales were growing well and he is comfortable with Wall Street's expectations.

Now, it looks like the only cloud hanging over ASND/CSCC is comments made made during CSCO's conference call that ASND is making exaggerated claims with respect to the performance of one of its products. Is anyone familiar with this product and can comment on CSCO's statement? Thanks.
