When Iridium was days or perhaps weeks from declaring BK, they traded up on a squeeze to $13, about 50% higher in a single day. Once the retail shorters were out, it continued its decline until BK. Yes, the short position will support the stock. With every news release that offers another ebbing ray of hope, there will be buyers who cover in fear and buyers who buy in gambling greed. But ultimately, I believe it will be a short to zero. -Sword
