Mucho: Debate on the substance - the fundamentals - is great. This space and the other threads offer a very good opportunity for that. Is square footage a fundamental question? Are the number of patents attributable to one person, apparently primarily before joining his current company, a fundamental question? What has Pat raised that comes even close to substance of the technologies that are George's focus?

How about the technology S-CDMA which Terayon has and no other company does?

How about the powermux that Avanex has that may mean a major shift in how data is delivered on fiber?

These are what interested George and what he has written about.

Something about George Gilder as a person - as an individual - seems to bug her. That comes through loud and clear.

I am not the one focusing on ad hominum attacks.

I used to have very real respect for Pat's research and analytic skills and the way she saw SDLI and then later JDSU as companies worth doing DD on. She did and shared her results. Some of us had already taken positions in both, but learned from her. I look forward to that again.

This is a diversion and as I have said, it is puzzling to me.

Any discussion of the technologies and future trends in them fits this thread and is certainly fair game. Hope that is possible in the not too distant future.

Best.
