Nasdaq... Ready To Rumble Or Ready To Tumble... ************************************************ el: A strong finish, but still on low volume... One could argue that this is good because it denotes reduced selling pressure... One could also argue that this is not good because it denotes reduced buying pressure on the upside... I think that many people are on the sidelines right now... So, in this smaller universe of traders we have a positive upside bias... It also hints that all that money waiting on the sidelines could push the market higher, in a hurry, when these investors feel it's safe to commit... So, we need a sign... As I look to the heavens I see sunshine and clouds, and a few birds that I'm ducking from... : > I also see a more settled market once the FED does its deed... A 1/2 point hike is already expected... That's the worst case scenario... A 1/4 point hike would be like a 1/4 point reduction in the trader's minds... So, since all the options are on the table and already factored into the market, we don't have any surprises short of some international crisis or a love triangle involving Bill Clinton, Trent Lott & Linda Tripp.. : > As such, we could see the market climb a wall of worry in the next two weeks... Monday and Tuesday will be the telling days as to market sentiment... Jim
