We have children so that they may carry on where we leave off. They are not exactly us, but we hope they follow what we teach them and what we respect. This has nothing to do with small human achievements but has a lot to do with how we humans as a species will survive. If we already knew our children will not be in any way follow our beliefs or convictions, I wonder how many people will still have children. They have the choice to change once we have already taught them right from wrong. Freedom is basically an illusion. I do not have the choice to sleep in the grass in a park in california after dark and watch the stars. geee, in many countries I have no problems with that.
