How to Avoid Looking Like a Fish

"The Florida Museum of Natural History offers these tips
for safer swimming in waters that could have sharks:

Swim with your friends, because sharks are more
likely to attack a single individual.

Do not wear shiny jewelry or sequined suits
because a shark may think you are covered with gills.

Don't splash around too much, because you may
look like a school of fish.

Be careful around sandbars or near steep drop-offs,
because sharks like those areas too.

Don't swim near fishing boats that may be dumping
entrails or bait over the side.

Get out of the water near twilight, when sharks are
the most active."

so anyway, i come across this fine article, and i read the title, How to Avoid Looking Like a Fish, and right away i'm thinking

a.) cover up your gills
b.) hide your scales
c.) try not to smell so bad

and i know there has to be more ways, but these are just the ones that everyone should be aware of and should try to practice on a daily basis if they don't want to be mistaken for a mackerel.

am i right on this?

oh, and aren't you glad someone cared enough to mention not swimming near fishing boats that may be dumping entrails or bait over the side? isn't that probably one of most american's favorite past times? swimming in chum?

:)
