pe meant what you refer to as trailing pe. then, people starting changing yardsticks and using price times projected earnings. that, as we know, was just the beginning. dell, was a rare example of a company exceeding bull's hopes and dreams. now, people refer to cash flow, ebidta, price to sales, market share, growth of revenues, hoped for share in a hoped for-dreamt up enormous market-and compared to some of the companies involved, even dell may be reasonably priced
