"I am trying to wean you away from the nipple of your deceptive Organ Grinder."

Hey, KW. Being an Organ Grinder's monkey isn't half bad. Here are a "few" of the many perks:

1. You can get a nice tan being out on the sidewalk all day. Granted, you will need to shave first.

2. You get to listen to some mighty fine tunes.

3. Most monkeys are able to work on a percentage basis. Hey, that can amount to some real dough!

4. Most importantly, when you go out with the tin cup, you can peek under the ladies' dresses. Now tell me, isn't that worth putting up with a short leash. A guy does need to take off those blinders first, though.

On another topic...my lawnmower got away from me today. My backyard makes Mt. McKinley look like a mole hill. Anyway, I finished mowing the top section of the yard, and I left the mower to put my son's swing in the normal position. Before I left the mower, I said to myself, "Now that damn thing isn't going to roll away is it? Naw," I reassured myself. (Same thing I've been saying about how ATHM couldn't go any lower.) Sure enough, as I'm walking up the hill I hear this movement. All I could do was watch my new Lawnboy pick up speed. Now, you would think a lawnmower couldn't roll. Right? Wrong! It went down that hill like a snowball. I've seen tobaggons go slower. I have a five foot retaining wall at the bottom. You should have seen that mower careen off and land on its top. I went down and inspected the damage. One wheel was badly bent. Of course I tried to straighten it...SNAP...the aluminum shell came off (with the wheel) in three pieces. My wife is a little torked at me. Especially when I told her that I'm going outside now to finish mowing with three wheels. Hell, if a dog can run on three legs, my Lawnboy ought to be able to. Is there something wrong with my logic?

I'll keep you posted,
Ed
