Although I feel for the shareholders (I am one,) I don't feel bad for the managment watching their company lose more than 70% of it's value. The amount of insider selling was, to put it mildly, criminal. Esciaplly how soon after the IPO the January earnings release. Was that necessary? Especially for a company so young? Couldn't they waited a year or two? Or did they think $140 was an opprtunity they would never see again (maybe they knew something we didn't.) Imagine Mr. Chambers unloading massive amounts of shares two months after CSCO IPO'd?
IMO, FFIV managment is in the same boat as AT&T's Armstorng, no credibility whatsoEver. They crush their numbers, as if it wasn't planned, in November, comfortable with increased analyists estimates, massive dumping, cautious comments about growth, lower margins, business is great, more insider dumping in January and then more cautious comments and now everyone thinks that managment is just being conservative. Whatever!!
Hey Hussey, how's that Ferrari ride? Too bad your company is only worth a fraction of what is was when you sold F5 shares to buy your toys. Great vote of confidence!!
