I wanted to respond to briefly to Dan's and Eric's earlier messages.

Dan, the release of PeakJet in November did cause a stir. The program challenges the notion that we should pay for full time access to the Internet and only get 10% effective use. It uses technology to increase the effective throughput to the user. It is only one of many products that push the barrier and will lead to an improvement in performance. New technology is emerging on the "pull and push" side of the equation that will greatly improve the value of the Internet to consumers and business. I'd invest in companies that can lead the way. FYI, A number of Internet Service Providers have expressed interest in using the technology to improve customer satisfaction. There are some sites where it has little benefit, in which case, you can pause its functions.

Eric posted a review of an early version of PeakJet. The first version was innovative but far from perfect. The release of version 1.5 contained significant enhancements in performance, speed and reliability. These were made available for free to all early users through our updater technology. We also made the product friendlier for small servers, added a pause function and numerous features to actually make browsing with PeakJet easier and faster. Our refresh capability, for example, checks only for new information and has very little impact on sites that you have visited before. The only impact is that they are much faster to review and revisit. If they have changed, the current site will be there when you want it.
