Off the top of my head, Intel has equity stakes in Standard Microsystems (SMSC), c-net (CNWK), Xircom (XIRC), Radisys (RSYS), MRV Communications(MRVC), in addition to PTEC and SYSF. The company that's going to IPO is RAMBUS (RMBS proposed), but valuations are, um, difficult (i.e. expensive). After all, what kind of price tag would you put on the license for the next generation DRAM?
