Thanks so much for your help! If there's some uncertainty in the data, then that's just something we statisticians will have to deal with. (Sort of like that old quote, "Heisenberg may have slept here.") It's the shape of the curve that I'm most interested in, and I feel your numbers will suit this well.

I'll see whether or not I can answer the question now.

Related topic, I talked with a TI employee on Friday during a class I was teaching. She could remember working on ICs on 1" wafers (25mm !!), and she remembered all the hassles involved with moving to 2" (50mm) ones. Her work area skipped the 1.5" ones, but they had great difficulty determining exactly how to handle the 3" (75mm) wafers when they came around. She is in her 30th year with TI, and was a real joy to talk to! She doesn't plan to retire until they begin to talk 450mm wafers....
