Hiram...Is this your first day on the thread? I think you just might miss some things here by a rather gigantic CANYON. Implementation may take 5-10 years? LOL!
Virtually all the major phone companies and ISPs have announced in some way or form that they will deploy ADSL sometime (most have said first half 98 for the first time, I believe) in 1998. ADSL will start to get very large just this next year. Implementation in 1998 is not the question...it really is, "Who will do well?"

I like Amati the best, but I believe Westell, Orkit, and USRX should do well in xDSL too.

It is clear to me that Wall Street still does not understand the technology yet...and the ADSL stocks will continue to be crazy (no wonder traders love these stocks).

Personally, I would never be involved in a stock that may be a big thing in 5-10 years...that's why I stay away from most biotechs. :-)
