Maybe I'll own just a little so I can say, "I own Krispy Kreme." I think, by the way, that is a potential problem with shorting this company. There may be many others like me out there. You make my point for me. I am quite certain this kind of thing is and has been happening, and the result is only a mild uptrend. What, then, will likely happen when all the "so I can say I own it" buyers have their piece of the, uh, doughnut? "Will the novelty ever* wear off?" The faithful say no.* We shall see.
