I don't know. Microsoft has managed to instill a "blame the victim" mentality in many (e.g. "This is user-friendly stuff; if you can't get it to work, or it crashes on you, it must be something YOU did"). Even here, among supposedly sophisticated people, one sees the (shocking to me) sentiment that "Anybody dumb enough to open an attachment deserves to lose their data." JMHO.
