There are quite a few stories of loss arising out of the ILOVEYOU virus incident. Given the litigiousness that has become a national pastime in the U.S. I would not be surprised to see manufacturer's liability lawsuits arising from this incident.

Perhaps there are opportunities here for ambitious law firms to initiate class actions on behalf of the many parties who have sustained loss. I can envision that individual firms might press such suits as a measure in response to claims arising against them as a result of the virus.

I'm not a lawyer nor am I an injured party, so on my part this is purely the uninformed speculation of a layman uneducated in matters of law.
