I think that Uromed's management was a little too taken with their product. They originally were not going to try and get it authorized for reimbursement by insurance. I guess the poor initial sales figures and some patient feedback have shown them that people are usually unwilling to spend money on medical procedures. I wish that they had made more of an effort to establish the reimbursability before the big roll-out.

They also initially marketed the product to surgeons. Surgeons tend to want to operate.
