Offtopic to I2, I believe there's a thread dealing with Online Brokers in the Misc section here on SI. I think it's vital that one clearly understands what's most important before making a decision: - Reputable, reliable broker who will be here tomorrow (i.e. if you can't find him, you can't sue him) - Commission rates - Other fees, charges, rates, services - Permitted transactions (e.g. - I can't sell Naked Puts with mine) - Accessibility / Speed of executing transactions - Audit trails - Real time quotes - ... everything else that's important to you.
