Here is some news specifically for BLTI:

SAN CLEMENTE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 8, 1997--BIOLASE TECHNOLOGY INC. (NASDAQ:BLTI) announced today that its common stock has been listed on the Berlin Stock Exchange, under the symbol "BLA", effective April 2.

"We are extremely pleased to be on the Berlin Exchange, and believe that our listing will be beneficial for the Company's shareholders in several ways" said Donald A. La Point, president and chief executive officer of BIOLASE.

"First, sales of our new Millennium (HydroKinetic Tissue Cutting System) are currently coming from Germany, where the technology is approved for hard and soft tissue use. Germany at the present time also represents the largest market in Europe for the Company's products, and we are receiving strong support from our distributor/partner, Orbis High Tech Dental GmbH, the country's largest high-tech dental distributor."

La Point continued, "Equally as important to the shareholders of BIOLASE, German investors tend to be long-term holders of stock. The country has a 55 percent tax rate on short-term capital gains and a zero tax rate for long-term gains. As a consequence, we believe that listing on the Berlin Exchange will, over the long term, help enhance the price stability of the Company's stock."

BIOLASE Technology manufactures and markets advanced medical, dental and surgical products, including specialized biomaterials for dentistry and other medical specialties, and products for use in endodontic applications.

The company's Millennium system incorporates a unique patent-pending technology that utilizes electromagnetic energy laser pulses to rapidly energize and transform small atomized water droplets into smaller high-speed cutting particles. This technology provides for efficient cutting of enamel, bone and soft tissue, and has applications in general and surgical dentistry, dermatology, and orthopedic and other surgery. LaserBrush, the company's innovative consumer dental maintenance system, uses light transmitted around the toothbrush bristles to interact with its proprietary toothpaste to whiten teeth and neutralize bacteria in the mouth. -0-
