Sorry, I should have post my views here as well as on Yahoo.
Here is my entire post from Yahoo.

I continue to be amazed by the comic dramas played out by the Street. We all know that Eln is a Merrill favorite and in the CSFB doghouse. But look at their numbers. According to Merrill, earnings are expected to grow 25% in 2000 ($1.56) and 25% in 20001 ($1.95). Now the great Elan basher has 24% growth in 2000 ($1.54) and 23% in 2001($1.90). Even using CSFB numbers, earnings would increase 53% from 1999 til 2001. Tell me CSFB what is wrong with 53% growth for two years? If 23% growth is a Hold, what is a strong buy?

Just for fun I checked CSFB on Alza. Earnings growth for 2000 is projected to be 23% ($1.58) and growth for 2001 is projected to be 20% ($1.90). The two year growth rate from 1999 til 2001 would be 48%. BUT ALZA IS A STRONG BUY. What a joke. Oh, Alza's price on Friday was $45.625, CSFB's 12 month price target is $47.50. Thank you CSFB.
