rrman, I agree that this is turning out to be more protracted than many of us thought. For me, that was apparent a while ago when the inflation numbers were bought after gapping down so hard.

I think Friday's "rally" was fluff. I disagree about who's in control. I think it's mostly indecision with a downward bias.

As to the clowns getting out. That will happen late in the game. If the market always allowed clowns to get out before major damage was done, then the markets would never really kill anyone -- and they do, and they will. The clowns will be the bagholders again. If we do not get protracted bear, but put in a nasty bottom, they will be getting out just as we are looking to go long again.

BWDIK, I do not even believe my May puts are toast yet :)
