I think you shoud reread the Siemens/Amati anouncement. Siemens does not only cooperate in the development of ATM/ADSL connections but also in marketing. Siemens seems to bet on Amati for its ADSL needs and Siemens is one of the biggest networking/telecom equipment companies world wide. USRX looks like a tiny start up if you compare them with Siemens.
