Hello Yaacov. My wife translated an article from Hamburg yesterday. It def. said what I posted. CPQ lost market share and Dell and HWP picked up market share. This was not only Germany, it was for Europe.

CPQ needing more time to straighten up came from some analysts. Not my prediction. I don't have a prediction on CPQ. I just keep an eye on it. I am in the show me mode at this time. Have not owned CPQ since Pfeiffer departed. All I know is that every time it hits around 30, back we go. Alta Vista was supposed to be part of their great success coming up, but the IPO has not happened yet. I guess it went on the back burner with the IPO market not as hot lately.
BTW. I was surprised to hear that CPQ has lost market share. I don't think I mentioned that CPQ has lost their No.1 position in Europe, just that it did lose market share from 16.2 to 14.1. And PC sales were higher in Europe for the first 3 months in 2000 compared to the same time period in 1999. But profits went down for PC sales, despite higher sales.
I hope this is clearer. So, you can now delete my post from your file. gg.

I just replied to Sonki's post. You may want to read it. I have 2 links to articles from Msft and Intel on there.

Consensus was that the markets may go up this week. But right now the futures don't go along with that scenario.

Sonny

PS. Here is the Hamburg article I quoted. It was listed under my Yahoo news.

de.news.yahoo.com

After CPQ it says that Fujitsu lost market share from 12 to 10.8 percent.

Sales for PC's were 6 percent higher but profits were 4 percent lowe. First 3 mos. of 2000 compared to first 3 mos. of 1999.
