Now I've just been asked [via PM]: <I just looked on my online Bear-Stearns portfolio statement and my Globalstar stock is one of a few that is listed in the cash rather than the margin column. Would it make sense for me to switch it to margin and then back again to cash at the end of the month? I'm game for a little short-term fun. >

Sure it would help. That would leave more stock on the table to be grabbed [borrowed] and sold by another shorter. Then the day before Memorial Day [or day after depending on what everyone decides to do], move it back to cash account = they have to cover and that adds just that much more pressure.

The fun has begun!
