My guess is that Semico has the right prediction, at something like 8%. We should note that Semico hasn't had to change their prediction, while Dataquest has been steadily decreasing theirs, down towards the Semico value.

In December of 1998, Dataquest predicted 30% for 2000, then changed that to 16-20% a year later. Their most recent guess is 13%. Just like the trend in RDRAM prices, down, down, down. (Just not fast enough.)

P.S. Where is Dave B banging on the Semico predictions? I'm just agreeing that theirs make sense. They're the ones that haven't had to continually adjust their Rambus predictions to the downside, and they have plenty of CV if you care to read it.
