Concurrent Computer Corporation and WorldGate Communications Demonstrate
Integrated Suite of ITV Services on the Set-top Environment

ATLANTA, May 8, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) --

Integrated Environment to Support Mutual Customers

Concurrent Computer Corporation (NASDAQ:CCUR) announced today that it has
partnered with WorldGate Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ:WGAT) to offer a
leading
edge, full-feature, interactive television set-top environment available
today.
Concurrent has integrated its Video-On-Demand (VOD) technology with
WorldGate's
application layer and Internet on EVERY TV(SM) Service, which features
Internet
access, e-mail, and Channel HyperLinking(SM), WorldGate's unique
technology that
enables instant access to interactive programming and advertising. The
two
companies are cooperating to help set standards for ITV services in the
broadband industry by applying decades of technology experience. This
unique
offering from WorldGate and Concurrent will be demonstrated in
WorldGate's booth
(#4319) as well as Motorola's booth at the Cable 2000 show in New
Orleans, May
8-10.

Concurrent and WorldGate have integrated their technologies and will
offer these
innovative services for mutual customers on the Motorola DCT2000. The VOD
application, powered by Concurrent's MediaHawk(TM) video server, boasts a
1,000-title navigator; a rich environment, including movie previews and
movie
jacket art; and other entertainment elements, such as music videos. In
addition
to the home entertainment features, cable subscribers will have access to
the
Internet, e-mail, and other interactive features through their
televisions and
existing cable connections through the WorldGate Service. No in-home
computer,
phone line, or extra set-top equipment is necessary. All the intelligence
and
control is at the headend, enabling the cable operator to provide the
most
flexible, feature-rich, co-branded interactive services available.
WorldGate and
Concurrent have also agreed to begin integration efforts on the
Scientific-Atlanta Explorer 2000 platform, to broaden the set-top
availability
to cable operators.
