Thanks for the Birinyi link.

Increasingly when I go to a site on the web that uses Doubleclick as an advertising provider I find that it crashes my computer. I do not wish to have DCLK attempt to collect data on me, so I prohibit communication to Doubleclick.com. Two examples of sites that routinely crash my computer are Thomsons and Freeedgar. Well, your Birinyi article goes a step beyond that - it not only crashed my computer when it attempted to contact doubleclick, it destroyed my Windows installation. I am typing this from my backup computer, and am not a happy camper.
