No, you miss the point, although it is probably my fault for relying on context too much:

If there are these strange and unexpected facts such as that an ant can carry twenty times his weight, why should Prolife have thought the factoid he advanced too ludicrous to be true? And if it were not self- evidently ludicrous, why all of the gratuitous psychoanalysis (an improvement on E's abuse, but still demeaning to Prolife)?
