JC - Come on, give credit where credit is due, blame where it is appropriate. There seems to be a "piling on" mentality with some posters (not you and the ever rational charles of course) which has little to do with facts - MSFT = bad, basically.

The MSFT stack is what it is. You won't see me defend the security or reliability of the Win95 - Win98 products. They reflect their heritage. The NT based products are a different story. They have strengths and weaknesses in comparison to Unix OS products. When someone comes on the SUNW thread and starts saying that Win2K "Datacenter" will displace Solaris, I am quick to point out all of the reasons that won't happen, some of which are technical, and some of which are more a result of the MSFT business model and philosophy. But they are not "junk" - they are products for a different market than the Unix products address, and have different design constraints.

So let's not be selective with the truth - it ought to apply to everyone...
