Excellent to be prepared, realizing of course, that currently there is not really a cloud in the sky...

Again, nothing wrong with being a bit EARLY to a party... but fwiw, I think it might be difficult to find people versed in this stock/field who would entertain that Amati could "jump" to 50 anytime soon (say, before Christmas '98...). And if by some fluke it DID jump to 50 prior to consensus expectations of at least $1 eps, you could probably make just as much money SHORTING as it approached 50.

Of course, just MY opinions..
