The DVD coming out by year's end is a "right once" product per the department head of marketing of DVD products in the US at Toshiba. Read/Write DVD will not be available until the year 2000 according to this individual because the technology to perform this task is not currently there. You're obviously only wishing it were different.

As far as IOM's assembly line being contaminated, it was a supplier to IOM which offered the defective part, not IOM. Get the story straight.
