Go to the Ancor thread to see reactions. Fibre Channel is suffering a full blown assault from Cisco and Adaptec. More etherneters to follow, I am sure. Fibre Channel vendors like Brocade better bust their rears to speed interoperability and move to 2GB soon. I think CISCO has plans to try to take over the storage market with ethernet and be number one. We need the other big Telecom giants like Lucent and Nortel to back Fibre Channel. The next couple of months are going to get very interesting in this battle. Qlgc merger with Ancor would help in the fight against this threat. JW
