Hi, Richard - re: Would be nice if you could turn it off. Course you can't Err... unsigned scripting is easy to disable. Perhaps that should be the default... it is under Office2000. On older versions it's a couple of mouse clicks to disable scripting. Have you ever actually used any MS software? I don't think you can turn this (VBS/VBA) off. I think there is an option to "Warn You" if a macro is in a doc (MS implemented this after Melisa). You can disable macros on a per document basis from Word or Excel. Anyway you look at it, you should not reward people who distribute viruses.
