   Corcom, Inc. Announces Record Incoming Orders, Increases Capacity 
  LIBERTYVILLE, Ill., May 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Corcom, Inc. (Nasdaq:CORC) announced today that it is experiencing record high levels of incoming orders so far in 1997. In the four month period ended May 2, 1997, incoming orders were 14 percent higher than in the same period last year. 
  ``We are seeing continued record demand in several segments of our market,'' stated Werner E. Neuman, Corcom's president and CEO. ``These include telecommunications and industrial controls, and extend from original equipment manufacturers to contract assembly operations.'' 
  The company also announced that it has increased capacity at its main North American production facility in Cd. Juarez, Mexico, to keep up with the vigorous demand. 
  Corcom recently announced an 8.2 percent increase in both revenue and pre-tax profits for the quarter ended March 30, 1997, as well as a stock buyback program for up to 200,000 shares of its common stock.
